It can be used to make bevel cuts, where an angled cut is required on the workpiece, miter cuts, generally for cutting joints forming a 90º angle, and compound cuts, where a simultaneous angled cut is needed on both the edge and front surface of the workpiece. Additionally, it has a safety button to activate the trigger to prevent accidental tool startup.
